Urban Voices Heard will be celebrating its 2nd year anniversary for its “Write Out Loud!” Open Mic Showcase. This Spoken Word/Poetry/Musical showcase will also be celebrating its last show, Saturday, December 11th, 2010 at Z’novia’s Restaurant in Bronx, NY.

This special event will be hosted by NYC’s #1 event host, John “Chance” Acevedo.

“Write Out Loud!” has been a showcase designed to help bring out creativity and the talent of today’s youth and adults. “Write Out Loud!” welcomed the talents of Spoken Word/Poetry artists, Musicians, Emcees, Actors, Visual Artists, as well as Singers to come out and share their passion on the open mic. With special features performing at each show, “Write Out Loud!” brought quality to its open mic’s and allowed individuals to be proud of their passion for writing and performing. Now, after 2 years, Urban Voices Heard will be ending the run and moving on to more creative ways to showcase the talents of the Bronx community.

On December 11th, to celebrate “Write Out Loud!” and its 2nd year in running, Urban Voices Heard will be bringing back some of its HOTTEST past features throughout the past 2 years. These past features will be performing in honor of their love and respect of Urban Voices Heard and the curator/founder Latanya DeVaughn. Their performances will be a way of thanking UVH for what it has done for the artistic community and for the Bronx.

Special guest performers will be: Tuan X, Feenix Flame, The MarXman, Janelle Heatley, Majestik Originality, OMNI Blaize, Stillwater, SoSoon, and Rich Story. And, without a doubt, Passion(No Last Necessary), Ibrahim P.O.E.T Siddiq and James Kennedy will be holding it down – representing UVH on the mic.

Also, for this auspicious occasion, special features for the night will be the winners of November’s “Can I Feature?” Open Mic competition.

This 2nd year anniversary celebration will be jam-packed with a Lottery Open Mic; Special Guest Performances; Featuring of Rock Wilk and Tito Luna. AND to top it off, the birthday celebration of the “Write Out Loud!” host John “Chance” Acevedo. It’s going to be a Sagittarius night. All Sags are welcome! There will be CAKE !
